At the same time, this one sets up a pretty exciting third movie down the line. If you're gonna go with a sequel, go bigger. It was really actually an incredible experience, and without that, I think it would have been a lot harder to step into the role, because it was way more physical than I was at first thinking, even after reading the script tens of tens of times.

We met a couple times a week, and she taught me how to do a forward roll, which I had no idea how to do, and a backward roll, and a side roll, and taught me how to walk with a crossbow and not look stupid, and throw knives, and all that jazz. I, myself, fence and box, and my fencing coach is also a stunt person, and she was able to help me for the couple months before filming. Lulu Wilson: It was a very physically taxing experience. What training did you do yourself to prepare for this? You mentioned the training that Becky's undergone over the past couple of years. Yyou've talked before about how much fun it was to be the main returning person for this project in comparison to the first one, but was there any sort of intimidation or apprehension for you when you heard that it was going to be a different pair of directors and writers on this one? She has the ability to care, she's just also capable of mass destruction. I wanted to show the audience how she's not just this murderous machine, she's a human being and she's caring, and she's not a psychopath, she's not a sociopath.

She's got a dog, a job, her life is her version of normal. In that time, she's been training, she's been to foster home after foster home after foster home, and she is now in what's close enough to a home that she's ever gonna get. Lulu Wilson: It was really important to me that she was more developed as a character, because a couple of years have passed between the first and the second films, and a lot has happened to her. What were some of the ideas and the story beats that you pitched that they took? You talk about the creative input that you had on this one.
